Last Saturday the European Championship took place in the beautiful Centre Culturel Jacques Francq in Brussels, a whole day filled with the best slam poets of Europe. The poets gave their best and blowed everyone away with their rock hard punchlines.
After two rounds where all 22 poets performed and received two chances to get in the final of the finals, Chadeline (FR), Elena Wolff (AU), Bruno (IT), Frej Haar (SW), Rudka (PO), Peter Meszaros (HU), Rimmer (CZ), Lisette Ma Neza (BE), Simone Savogin (IT) and Margalida (SP) got a spot.
Eventually Péter Mészarós was the publics favourite. Margalida Followthelida received the third medal, the Belgian Champion Lisette Ma Neza became second and Frej Haar from Sweden is officially the best slammer of Europe. Congratulations!
Thanks to all the fans, the crew of Pianofabriek, the volunteers and of course the champions to make the European Championship Poetry Slam 2017 such a wonderfull memory. See you next year in Budapest!
The National Television made a little video about the EC Poetry Slam. Enjoy!
Also a big thumbs up for Akkad Saritas who made the beautiful logo.
